Since the passing of Michael Ray in February of 2008, Juanita and their daughter Cristina have continued the family business. In 2009 el Azteca was voted Best Mexican Restaurant in Ft. Wayne by the Journal Gazette's Best of Ft. Wayne Reader's Picks. Cristina has managed to create a presence for Azteca online through social networking sites like Facebook. The two continue to find ways to enhance the overall dining experience at el Azteca. The deck dining, which opens in late April has been a hit for the past three summers. Every Thursday on the deck they provide live entertainment by local music groups. As el Azteca enters its 37 year in business, the Ray women are committed now more than ever to the level of customer service and quality of food Ft. Wayne has always expected.
